April 5, 2026: LEMON Manuals is launched! Read the announcement.

Code 11 Or 13 (Actuator Motor Circuit)

Code 11 sets if duty cycle signal remains on at all times (full acceleration), or if actuator motor circuit is shorted to ground. Code 13 sets if the actuator motor circuit is open.

  1. Disconnect electrical connector from actuator motor. Turn magnetic clutch on by applying battery voltage to terminals No. 5 (positive lead) and No. 4 (negative lead). See Figure.
  2. Operate actuator motor (move control plate) by applying battery voltage to terminals No. 6 and 7 (reverse polarity as necessary to move control plate in both directions). See Fig 1. As the control plate moves fully in either direction, the limit switches in the actuator motor should stop the control plate from moving.
  3. If actuator does not operate as specified, replace actuator. If actuator operates as specified, check for faulty circuit between cruise control ECU and actuator. If circuit is okay:
    • CODE - Replace cruise control ECU
    • NO CODE - Perform next procedure listed in DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM  table.
