Window Motor & Regulator Assembly
CAUTION:
To keep from scratching door trim components, put tape on tip of screwdriver before prying components from door.
NOTE:
To service motor and regulator separately, remove assembly. It may not be necessary to remove all components listed (manufacturer's procedure is for disassembly of entire door).
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Pry up the front edge of switch base plate, then pull it forward to remove it. Remove bezel from inner door handle by prying it out.
- Remove the following screws that secure door trim panel:
- Three screws at bottom of panel
- Two screws under armrest
- Two screws (capped) near front edge of panel
- One screw accessible through door handle hole.
- Pry door trim panel away from door to release retainer clips. Pull door trim panel upward to disengage it from door. Disconnect cables from inside door handle. Disconnect electrical connector from courtesy light.
- Remove 12 nuts from top of door trim panel. Remove door trim panel and inside door handle as an assembly. Remove grille from upper speaker by prying it loose. Remove 6 screws and pry out the upper door trim panel. Carefully remove door weatherstrip (do not pull hard; use a clip remover to disengage clips).
- Remove outside rear view mirror. Remove lower speaker. Remove 2 screw grommets that secure service hole cover. Carefully pull service hole cover away from door. Disconnect wire harness from clips. Remove 3 bolts and inside panel frame (horizontal support).
- Remove door belt moulding from top edge of door. Remove weatherstrip. Remove front and rear glass guides. Remove door glass. Remove 6 nuts securing window motor and regulator assembly, then remove assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure.
