Light Does Not Come On

  1. Disconnect Connector "C" from instrument cluster. See Figure. Turn ignition on.
  2. At instrument cluster side of disconnected connector, ground terminal no. 13. See Figure. If light comes on, go to next step. If light does not come on, check bulb. If bulb is okay, replace circuit plate. See Figure.
  3. Check circuits between instrument cluster and brake fluid level switch, and between instrument cluster and parking brake switch. If circuits are okay, replace appropriate switch. For testing, see BRAKE FLUID LEVEL SWITCH TEST  and PARKING BRAKE SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTING.
