Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR REPLACEMENT
(w/Speedometer Driven Gear)




1. DISCONNECT VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR CONNECTOR
2. REMOVE VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt and vehicle speed sensor assembly.
- Remove the clip and speedometer driven gear from vehicle speed sensor.




- Remove the 0-ring from vehicle speed sensor.
- Inspect the vehicle speed sensor.
3. INSTALL VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR ASSEMBLY
- Coat a new 0-ring with ATF and install it to the vehicle speed sensor.
- Install the speedometer driven gear to the vehicle speed sensor and clip.
- Install the vehicle speed sensor assembly and torque the bolts.

Torque: 16 Nm (12 ft.lb)
