Clearing Codes

Using jumper wire, connect terminals Tc and E1 of DLC1 or DLC2. See Figure. Turn ignition on. With vehicle stopped, depress brake pedal 8 or more times in 3 seconds. DTC No. 53 is cleared by removing ECU-B fuse, with ignition off. Ensure ABS light blinks once every .25 second (normal code). Codes are now erased. Remove jumper wire. Connect short pin to DLC1. Ensure ABS light goes out after 3 seconds.

NOTE: DTCs will also be cleared when ECU-B fuse is removed, but in this case, other memory systems will also be cleared.

NOTE: ECU-B fuse removal will clear DTCs, but other memory systems will also be cleared.
