Front Doors

  1. Remove door panel to access door courtesy switch. Disconnect door lock motor assembly connector. Check door door lock motor assembly connector for continuity between Gray/Red wire terminal and White/Black wire terminal. Continuity should exist with door opened (switch pin released). Continuity should not exist with door closed (switch pin pushed in). If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity is not as specified, replace door courtesy switch.
  2. Disconnect 18-pin connector "A" from door ECU. See Fig 1 or Fig 2. Check for continuity between 18-pin connector "A" terminal No. 6 (Gray/Red wire) and ground. With door opened, continuity should exist (switch pin released). With door closed (switch pin pushed in), continuity should not exist. If continuity is not as specified, repair wiring harness as necessary.
