Circuit Description

Speed sensor at each wheel produces an A/C signal to ABS ECU as 48 tooth rotor passes permanent magnet sensor. Frequency of A/C signal changes with wheel speed. DTC is set when speed sensor signal is not input for approximately 1 second while left front and right rear speed sensor signals are being checked with ignition switch on. Possible causes are:

• Left front or right rear open speed sensor circuit.
• ECU.
