Knock Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove knock sensor(s).
- Refer to Service and Repair for removal/installation procedures.





2. Inspect knock sensors and contact surface of the sensor boss.
- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between terminal and body.
- If there is continuity, replace the sensor.
- If there is corrosion on the surface, clean up it to ensure better contact with the engine.
