Retrieving Codes

1. Turn ignition on. Turn cruise main switch on. If CRUISE indicator light comes on, leave ignition on and go to next step. If CRUISE indicator light does not come on, check cruise indicator light circuit. See TEST 12 under CIRCUIT TESTING .
2. To retrieve codes, turn cruise main switch off. Connect Jumper Wire (09843-18020) between terminals Tc and E1 of Data Link Connector (DLC) No. 2, located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure. Observe CRUISE indicator light to see if any codes are displayed. See Figure.
   • Light Does Not Come On. See TEST 11 under CIRCUIT TESTING .
   • Light Flashes Steadily. No codes set ("normal" code).
   • Light Flashes Codes(s)

Go to appropriate TEST under CIRCUIT TESTING . When finished, disconnect jumper wire and turn ignition off.
