Ecu Power Source Circuit Test

NOTE: Use this procedure to check for problems in circuit between DOME fuse and power seat ECU.
  1. At driver's seat, remove bolts for front vertical adjuster. Lift front end of seat cushion slightly for access to driver's power seat ECU (DO NOT  lift too far; harness clamp may come loose). Remove driver's power seat ECU, but leave wiring harness connectors attached.
  2. Measure voltage between the following terminals of driver's power seat ECU connector. If battery voltage is present, check next item listed under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
    • Connector "B", terminals No. 7 and 18. See Figure.
  3. On all models, if battery voltage is not present, disconnect connector "B". Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 18. If resistance is one ohm or more, repair open circuit. If resistance is less than one ohm, check DOME fuse.
  4. If fuse is blown, locate and repair short to ground in circuit between fuse and driver's power seat ECU, or between driver's power seat ECU and position sensors. If fuse is okay, repair circuit between battery and driver's power seat ECU.
