Circuit Description

Main Throttle Position (TP) sensor circuits indirectly affect TRAC control system when a malfunction occurs. TRAC system may be switched off as a fail safe function. DTC is set when IDL switch of TP sensor is on or input voltage to VTH circuit of TRAC ECU is 1.45 volts or greater. Possible causes are:

• Main TP sensor.
• VTH open circuit.
• IDL1 short circuit.
• Engine Control Module (ECM).
• TRAC ECU.
