Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the shift lever is in the 3 position (with transmission control switch is pressed), "3" in the shift position indicator light will come on and when the shift lever is in the D position (with transmission control switch is released), "D" in the shift position indicator light will come on. When the shift lever is in 3 position, the ECM prohibits shifting to O/D.
