Master Cylinder Push Rod
- Install Adjusting Gauge (09737-00010) onto master cylinder, with master cylinder gasket in place. Perform STEP 1. See Fig 1. Lower the adjusting gauge pin until it just touches master cylinder piston. Invert gauge, then install it onto power brake unit. Perform STEP 2. See Fig 1.
- Measure clearance between push rod and adjusting gauge pin. There should be zero clearance (adjusting gauge pin should just touch push rod). To adjust clearance, hold the push rod with pliers (to prevent it from turning) and turn the nut with a wrench.
