Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor
Remove ECT sensor. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article. With sensing portion of ECT sensor submerged in water measure resistance between terminals. See Fig 1. Replace ECT sensor if resistance is not as specified. See ECT SENSOR RESISTANCE table.
