EGR Gas Temperature Sensor
- Remove EGR gas temperature sensor from side of EGR valve. Place threaded end of EGR gas temperature sensor and thermometer in container of oil.
- Attach ohmmeter between electrical terminals on EGR gas temperature sensor. Heat oil and note resistance at specified temperature. See EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS table. Replace EGR gas temperature sensor if resistance is not within specification. Reinstall EGR gas temperature sensor and tighten to 15 ft. lbs. (20 N.m).
