Knock Sensor: Removal

- Drain engine coolant. Remove "V" bank cover. See Figure. Remove air cleaner and intake air connector assembly. Disconnect EVAP hose clamp from left No. 3 timing belt cover. See Figure. Disconnect high-tension wire grommet. Remove left No. 3 timing belt cover.
- Disconnect accelerator cable, A/T throttle control cable and cruise control actuator cable. Remove accelerator bracket. Disconnect wiring harness connectors as necessary.
- Label and disconnect vacuum hoses as necessary. Disconnect coolant hoses as necessary. Remove No. 2 EGR pipe and gaskets. Remove air intake chamber assembly. Disconnect knock sensor and remove sensor.
