Circuit Description

ABS motor relay supplies power to ABS pump motor. ECU switches motor relay on and operates ABS pump motor when ABS is activated. DTC is set when ECU detects zero voltage at terminal No. 4 (Yellow wire-w/TRAC, Yellow/Blue wire-w/o TRAC) on ABS motor relay connector or battery voltage at terminal No. 3 (Non-TRAC) or No. 5 (TRAC), connector A4 on ABS actuator connector. Possible causes are:

• ABS motor relay.
• ABS motor relay circuit short to battery voltage.
• ECU.
