Circuit Description

Speed sensor at each wheel produces an A/C signal to ABS ECU as 48-tooth rotor passes permanent magnet sensor. Frequency of A/C signal changes with wheel speed. DTC is set when speed sensor signal is not input for approximately one second while left front and right rear speed sensor signals are being checked with ignition on. Possible causes are:

• Left front or right rear open speed sensor circuit.
• ECU.
