Door Courtesy Switch Circuit Test

  1. Check that open door warning light is on when each door is opened and goes off when all doors are closed. If open door warning light operates as specified, go to next step. If door open warning light operation is not as specified, repair door switch circuit(s).
  2. Backprobe for voltage between door lock ECU harness connector terminal No. 14 and ground. See Figure. If battery voltage exists, circuit is okay. Return to TROUBLE SHOOTING . If battery voltage does not exist, repair open Red/White wire between door lock ECU and door courtesy switch.
