Test 14: Brake Warning Light Problem
- Check GAUGE fuse. Replace as needed. Disconnect connector "D". Turn ignition on. Check voltage at connector "D" terminal No. 3. If voltage does not exist, repair open circuit between GAUGE fuse and connector "D" terminal No. 3. Reconnect connector "D". Disconnect connector "A". Ground connector "A" terminal No. 9. Turn ignition on. If brake warning light illuminates, go to next step. If brake warning light does not illuminate, check light bulb. Replace as needed. If bulb is okay, install a known good circuit plate and retest. If light still does not illuminate, replace instrument panel computer and retest.
- Check brake warning light. See WARNING LIGHTS under COMPONENT TESTS. If brake warning light is okay, check brake warning switch operation. If brake warning light operation is not okay, repair wiring between connector "B" terminal No. 3 and sending unit terminal No. 1.
