Test 15: Rear Light Failure Warning Light Problem
- Check GAUGE fuse. Replace as needed. Disconnect connector "D". Turn ignition on. Check voltage at connector "D" terminal No. 3. If voltage does not exist, repair open circuit between GAUGE fuse and connector "D" terminal No. 3. Reconnect connector "D". Disconnect connector "A". Ground connector "A" terminal No. 7. Turn ignition on. If rear light failure warning light illuminates, go to next step. If light does not illuminate, check light bulb. Replace as needed. If bulb is okay, install a known good circuit plate and retest. If light still does not illuminate, replace instrument panel computer and retest.
- Check light failure sensor circuit. See LIGHT FAILURE SENSOR under COMPONENT TESTS. If light failure sensor circuit is okay, replace sensor and retest.
