Test 16: Open Door Warning Light Problem
- Check DOME fuse. Replace as needed. Disconnect connector "C". Check voltage at connector "C" terminal No. 6. If voltage does not exist, repair open circuit between DOME fuse and connector "C" terminal No. 6. Ground connector "C" terminal No. 6. If open door warning light illuminates, go to next step. If open door warning light does not illuminate, check light bulb. Replace as needed. If bulb is okay, install a known good circuit plate and retest. If light still does not illuminate, replace instrument panel computer and retest.
- Check open door warning light operation. If open door warning light is okay, check door courtesy switch. See DOOR COURTESY SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS. If open door warning light operation is not okay, repair wiring between connector "C" terminal No. 6 and door courtesy switch terminal No. 1.
