Without LEXUS Hand-Held Tester

  1. Disconnect short pin from Data Link Connector No. 1 (DLC1). See Figure. DLC1 is located in engine compartment, next to oil fill cap. Using a jumper wire, connect terminals Tc and E1 of Data Link Connector No. 1 (DLC1) or DLC2 (1997 only). See Figure.
  2. On all models, turn ignition on. With vehicle stopped, depress brake pedal 8 or more times in 5 seconds. Ensure ABS light blinks once every .25 second (normal code). Codes are now erased. Remove jumper wire. Connect short pin to DLC1. Ensure ABS light goes out after 3 seconds.
NOTE: Replacing or repairing wheel sensors will not clear codes. Car must be driven to allow ECU to perform primary check.
NOTE: ECU-B fuse removal will clear DTC, but other memory systems will also be cleared.
