Test 22: Shift Position Indicator Problem
- Disconnect instrument panel connector "C" and "D". Ground instrument panel connector "D" terminal No. 9 and turn ignition on. While moving shifter, check voltage at terminals listed. Refer to the SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR TERMINAL table.
- If light does not illuminate, check wiring between instrument panel connector terminal listed and park/neutral switch or position switch. Check switch. If wiring and switch are okay, check light bulb. Replace as needed and retest. If light illuminates, replace circuit plate and retest. If problem still exists, replace power source unit.
