Test 33: Discharge Warning Indicator Problem

  1. Check IGN fuse. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is bad, replace fuse. If fuse blows, disconnect instrument panel connector "D" and replace fuse. If fuse blows again, repair short in wiring. If fuse is okay, replace circuit plate and retest.
  2. Disconnect instrument panel connector "D". Turn ignition on. Check voltage on connector "D" terminal No. 13. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open circuit between connector "D" terminal No. 13 and battery. If battery voltage exists, ground instrument panel connector "D" terminal No. 13 and turn ignition on. If SRS light does not illuminate, check light bulb and replace as needed, then check wiring between connector "D" terminal No. 13 of instrument panel and generator. If SRS light illuminates, replace circuit plate and retest. If problem still exists, replace power source unit.
