Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor
Remove ECT sensor. See REMOVE/INSTALL/OVERHAUL article. With sensing portion of ECT sensor submerged in water, measure resistance between terminals. See Figure. Replace ECT sensor if resistance is not as specified. See ECT SENSOR RESISTANCE table.
