With Memory

  1. Remove tilt and telescopic control module and leave harness connectors connected. With ignition on, measure voltage between tilt and telescopic control module connector T9, terminal No. 12 and ground. See Figure and Figure . Voltage should be 10-16 volts with ignition on and less than one volt with ignition off. If voltage is not as specified, go to next step. If voltage is as specified, go to TROUBLE SHOOTING  and identify next circuit to be checked.
  2. Check 10 amp GAUGE fuse in instrument panel fuse block. If fuse is okay, check for open Red/Blue wire between fuse block and tilt and telescopic control module connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If fuse is blown, check and repair for short in Red/Blue wire.
