Position Sensor Power Source Circuit Test
NOTE:
Use this procedure to check power supply circuit between power seat ECU and each position sensor.
- At driver's seat, remove bolts for front vertical adjuster. Lift front end of seat cushion slightly for access to power seat ECU. Remove power seat ECU, but leave wiring harness connectors attached.
- Turn ignition on. While seat is moving (operate manual seat switch), measure voltage between power seat ECU connector "B" terminal No. 4 (Purple/White wire) and ground. See Figure. If voltage is 7-9 volts during switch operation, see next test in SYSTEM TESTS INDEX . If voltage is not 7-9 volts during switch operation, check for open or short in Purple/White wire between position sensors (located in motor) and ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If circuits are okay, replace power seat ECU.
