Shift Lock Solenoid

Disconnect shift lock solenoid connector (located at ignition switch). Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between solenoid connector terminal No. 3 and 4. See Fig 1. Resistance should be 12-17 ohms. While touching solenoid, connect battery positive lead to terminal No. 3 and negative battery lead to terminal No. 4. Solenoid operation should be felt. If resistance or operation is not as specified, replace solenoid and retest system operation.
