Using Scan Tool

Connect LEXUS or OBDII scan tool to Data Link Connector No. 3 (DLC3) located under left side of instrument panel lower pad. Turn ignition switch to ON position and turn scan tool switch on. Using scan tool, check DTCs and freeze frame data. If DTC 99 is retrieved, see TROUBLE SHOOTING SYMPTOMS  table to continue diagnosis. If any other DTCs are retrieved, see ENGINE IMMOBILIZER DTC DEFINITIONS  table to continue diagnosis. Each code will be displayed in order, starting with lowest code. Erase codes using scan tool, disconnecting battery or removing EFI fuse.
