Throttle Control Motor & Clutch Assembly

  1. Disconnect throttle control motor and clutch assembly connector. Measure throttle control motor resistance between appropriate terminals of throttle control motor and clutch assembly connector. See appropriate THROTTLE CONTROL MOTOR & CLUTCH ASSEMBLY TERMINAL I.D. table under THROTTLE CONTROL MOTOR & CLUTCH ASSEMBLY . Resistance should be .3-100 ohms at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is not as specified, replace throttle control motor and clutch assembly. If resistance is as specified, go to next step.
  2. Measure clutch resistance between appropriate terminals of throttle control motor and clutch assembly connector. See appropriate THROTTLE CONTROL MOTOR & CLUTCH ASSEMBLY TERMINAL I.D. table under THROTTLE CONTROL MOTOR & CLUTCH ASSEMBLY . Resistance should be 4.2-5.2 ohms at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is not as specified, replace throttle control motor and clutch assembly.
