Tilt & Telescopic Control Module Power Supply Circuit

  1. Remove tilt and telescopic control module with connectors connected. With ignition off, measure voltage between tilt and telescopic control module connector (T10), terminals No. 8 (Blue/Red wire) and No. 18 (Red wire). See Figure. If voltage is not 10-14 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10-14 volts, go to TROUBLE SHOOTING and identify next circuit to be checked.
  2. Measure resistance between tilt and telescopic control module connector (T10), terminal No. 8 and ground. If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is not less than one ohm, repair open Blue/Red wire between control module connector (T10), terminal No. 8 and ground, under center console. See WIRING DIAGRAMS.
  3. Check DOME (10-amp) fuse. If fuse is okay, check for open Red wire between tilt and telescopic control module connector (T10), terminal No. 18 and fuse block. See WIRING DIAGRAMS. If fuse is blown, check and repair short on Red wire between tilt and telescopic control module connector (T10), terminal No. 18 and fuse block.
