Tilt Motor Circuit

  1. Disconnect tilt and telescopic unit connector. Connect a fused jumper wire between battery positive terminal and tilt motor connector terminal No. 1. See Figure. Connect a jumper wire between negative battery terminal and tilt motor connector terminal No. 10.
  2. Tilt motor should move column downward. Reverse polarity of jumper wires and ensure column moves upward. If operation is as specified, go to next step. If operation is not as specified, replace tilt motor and recheck system.
  3. Check and repair wiring harness between tilt and telescopic unit and tilt and telescopic control module. If wiring is okay, go to TROUBLE SHOOTING and identify next circuit to be checked.
