Driver's Power Window Automatic Function Inoperative

  1. Attempt key off operation. If key off operation is inoperative, go to step  4. If key off operation is okay, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect master switch and driver's side power window motor harness connectors. Check for continuity between terminal No. 11 (White wire) of master switch harness connector and terminal No. 9 (White wire) of driver's side power window motor harness connector. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair wire harness. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  3. Reconnect window switch and power window motor harness connectors. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 9 (White wire) at driver's side power window motor while operating AUTO switch in UP and DOWN positions. If battery voltage is present in both switch positions, replace power window motor assembly. If battery voltage is not present in both switch positions, replace master switch.
  4. Turn ignition on. Using master switch, fully close driver's window, and then lower 1.969" (50 mm). Attempt key off operation. If key off operation is inoperative, replace master switch. If key off operation is okay, system is okay at this time.
