Window Down

  1. Ensure window glass for window being tested is fully raised. Disconnect 5-pin connector from power window motor. Check continuity between power window motor connector terminals No. 2 and 5. See Figure. Connect jumper wire from positive terminal of 12-volt battery to power window motor connector terminal No. 4.
  2. Connect another jumper wire from negative terminal of battery to power window motor connector terminal No. 1. Ensure continuity exists while window lowers to fully open position. Continuity should not exist once window stops at fully opened position. If continuity is as specified, limit switch is okay at this time. If continuity is not as specified, replace power window motor.
