Theft Deterrent/Door Lock Control Ecu

  1. Access theft deterrent/door lock control ECU. Leave wire harness connected. Ensure all doors are closed. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Red wire) of 9-pin ECU harness connector. If battery voltage is present, leave DVOM connected and go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair circuit as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  2. Turn ignition off. Within 60 seconds, ensure battery voltage is still present. Turn ignition on, and then off. Within 60 seconds, open any door. Ensure battery voltage is no longer present. Leave DVOM connected and go to next step.
  3. Close all doors and turn ignition on. Open any door and ensure battery voltage is present. Turn ignition off. Battery voltage should no longer be present. If operation is not as specified, replace ECU.
