Door Unlock Detection Switch Circuit

  1. Remove wireless door lock ECU (leave wire harness connected). Using DVOM, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and terminal No. 11 (Blue/Red wire). See Figure. Battery voltage should be present with driver's door lock knob in LOCK position. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, repair harness and/or connectors between wireless door lock ECU and door unlock detection switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  2. Remove theft deterrent ECU (leave wire harnesses connected). Using DVOM, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and terminal No. 14 (Blue/Red wire) at connector "B". See Fig 1. Battery voltage should be present with driver's door lock knob in LOCK position. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, repair harness and/or connectors between wireless door lock ECU, door unlock detection switch and theft deterrent ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  3. Using DVOM, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and terminal No. 15 (Yellow wire) at connector "B". See Fig 1. Battery voltage should be present with right front passenger's door lock knob in LOCK position. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, repair harness and/or connectors between theft deterrent ECU and door unlock detection switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  4. Using DVOM, measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and terminal No. 16 (Blue/Yellow wire) at connector "B". See Fig 1. Battery voltage should be present with both rear passenger door lock knobs in LOCK position. If voltage is as specified, perform next inspection listed in symptom diagnosis table. See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS . If voltage is not as specified, repair harness and/or connectors between theft deterrent ECU and appropriate door unlock detection switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
