Automatic A/C-Heater Systems: Programming: Initialization: Notes

NOTE: Front defogger indicator will illuminate during automatic or manual initialization.

Initialization should be performed after all repairs are completed. Initialization involves setting air mix film and mode control film to their initial position (air mix film to cool side and mode control film to face side). This position is then memorized by A/C control assembly as a standard position.
