Using Scan Tool

  1. Connect hand-held tester to (DLC3). See Fig 1.
  2. Start engine and push height control select switch to adjust vehicle height to "LO" then to "N" position.
  3. Inspect vehicle height. See Fig 2.
  4. Read value of height control sensor on hand-held tester. Standard value of actual vehicle height should be within .2 inches (5 mm). For example, when measurement value of front vehicle height is 3.35 inches (85 mm), actual value of height control sensor is -.09 inches (-2.3 mm).
  5. Loosen nut and adjust positions of height control sensor link and front upper suspension arm or lower control arm by moving them up and down. See Fig 3. Tighten nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. On front sensor, when adjustment cannot be done by  5, loosen nuts of height control sensor link and turn link. To raise vehicle, turn clockwise and to lower turn counterclockwise. See Fig 4. Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Coat threads of link with sealer Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.
