Vehicle Speed Sensor

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is mounted on rear of transmission. There are 2 sensors on rear of transmission. The 2-wire VSS is used for electronic transmission control. The 3-wire VSS detects rotation speed of transmission output shaft and outputs a signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM). ECM uses signal to determine vehicle speed.
