SC400 & LS400

  1. Variable Valve Timing (VVT) sensors are located on top of engine and are mounted on the intake side of each cylinder head. Remove engine cover. Remove intake air connector pipe, if necessary. If testing left VVT sensor, disconnect VVT sensor 2-pin connector with Green and Red wires. If testing right VVT sensor, disconnect VVT sensor 2-pin connector with Blue and Yellow wires (LS400) or Black/Red and Brown wires (SC400).
  2. Measure resistance between VVT sensor terminals. Replace sensor if resistance is not as specified. See VARIABLE VALVE TIMING SENSOR RESISTANCE  table.
