Anti-Theft Indicator Circuit

  1. Remove instrument cluster. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article. Disconnect 12-pin anti-theft indicator connector. Connect positive battery lead to anti-theft indicator connector terminal No. 4 (Red wire) and negative battery lead to terminal No. 3 (Green/White wire). See Fig 1. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If anti-theft indicator illuminates, go to next step. If anti-theft indicator does not illuminate, replace anti-theft indicator.
  2. Check circuits for faults between anti-theft indicator, anti-theft/door lock control ECU and body ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. If circuits are okay, check anti-theft/door lock control ECU pin voltages. See ANTI-THEFT/DOOR LOCK CONTROL ECU PIN VOLTAGE TESTS  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace as necessary and retest system operation. Proceed to next test listed in appropriate SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
