Oil Level Warning Switch

  1. Remove engine oil level switch. Switch is located at right front of engine block on SC400 or left front of engine on SC300. With switch sensor temperature less than 131°F (50°C), check for continuity in each float position. Continuity should be present in all float positions.
  2. Heat switch to greater than 140°F (60°C) in an oil bath. Continuity should be present between switch connector terminals with float in up (ON) position. Continuity should not be present with float in down (OFF) position. If switch operation is not as specified, replace oil level warning switch.
