Circuit Description
Throttle control motor opens and closes throttle valve as commanded by the ECM. ECM determines throttle valve position using throttle position sensor. If DTC P1125 is set, ECM shuts down power to throttle control motor and electromagnetic clutch.
DTC P1125 is set when ECM continuously detects throttle control motor duty output of 80 percent or more or current of .3 amp or less for .8 second. DTC P1125 is also set when ECM detects throttle control motor current of 16 amps or more. DTC P1125 is also set when ECM continuously detects throttle control motor current of 7 amps or more for .6 second. Possible causes are:
- Open or short in throttle control motor circuit.
- Faulty throttle control motor.
- Faulty ECM.
