Fuel-Cut System

During deceleration from high engine speed with throttle valve completely closed, the ECM stops fuel injection to improve fuel economy and lower exhaust emissions. When engine speed falls to less than a predetermined RPM or throttle valve is opened, fuel injection is resumed. Fuel cut-off and fuel injection resumption speeds are high when coolant temperature is low.
