Charging Systems: Charging: Generator: Removal
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET.
- REMOVE DRIVE BELT.
Loosen the belt tension by turning the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise, and remove the dive belt.NOTE: The tensioner pulley bolt has a left-hand thread.
- REMOVE PS PUMP PULLEY. Using SST (SST 09960-10010, 09962-01000, 09963-01000), remove the nut and PS pump pulley.
- REMOVE ALTERNATOR
- Disconnect the generator connector.
- Remove the rubber cap and nut, and disconnect the generator wire.
- Disconnect these parts:
- Disconnect ground cable.
- Disconnect wire (for generator wire) from clamp on cord clip.
- Disconnect wire (for generator connector) from clamp on cord clip. Take out the vinyl tape, and disconnect the wire from the cord clip.
- Disconnect PS oil hose from No. 1 oil pan.
- Remove the nut, bolt, stay and generator.
- Remove the 2 clamps from the cord clips on the generator.
