Test No. 20: Door Lock Control Switch Circuit

NOTE: If LEXUS scan tool is available, start test from step  1. If this scan tool is not available, start test from step  2.
  1. Using scan tool, check for DTC B1211. If DTC B1211 is retrieved, see MULTIPLEX CONTROL SYSTEMS - IS300 article. If DTC B1211 is not retrieved, go to next step.
  2. Check door lock control switch. See DOOR KEY LOCK & UNLOCK SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace switch as necessary. Retest system operation. If switch is okay, go to next step.
  3. Check circuits for faults between door lock control switch and body ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary.
