Power Window System

  1. Automatic Operation

    To partially raise or lower driver's window, press button slightly and hold until window is at desired level. To fully raise or lower window without having to hold button down, press button down firmly and release. Automatic operation is controlled by a logic circuit in master switch.

  2. Key Off Operation

    The windows can be operated for about 45 seconds after ignition is turned off. This operation is cancelled if either front door is opened.

  3. Catching Prevention (Jam Function)

    In the event an object is caught in area of window travel during upward movement, power window motor will reverse direction as a safety measure. If window encounters resistance when window opening is greater than 7.874" (200 mm), window will automatically stop and lower an additional 1.969" (50 mm) and stop. If window encounters resistance when window opening is 7.874" (200 mm) or less, window will automatically lower until opening is 7.874" (200 mm) and stop.
