Brake Pad Indicator Sensor Circuit

NOTE: If LEXUS scan tool is available, start test from step  1. If this scan tool is not available, start test from step  2.
  1. Using scan tool, check brake pad sensor circuit using DATA LIST. If brake pad sensor is okay, go to next test listed in appropriate SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS table under TROUBLE SHOOTING . If brake pad sensor is not okay, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect brake pad sensor wear indicator 2-pin connector. Check continuity between connector terminals. If continuity is present, sensor is okay. Go to next step. If continuity is not present, replace sensor.
  3. Check circuits for faults between brake pad sensor wear indicator and body No. 3 ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. If circuits are okay, go to next test listed in BODY NO. 3 CONTROL SYSTEM  table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
