High-Mounted Stoplight Circuit

NOTE: If LEXUS scan tool is available, start test from step  1. If this scan tool is not available, start test from step  2.
  1. Using scan tool, operate high-mounted stoplight using ACTIVE TEST. If high-mounted stoplight does not operate, go to next step. If high-mounted stoplight operates, go to next test listed inBODY NO. 2 CONTROL SYSTEM  table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
  2. Check bulb. Replace bulb as necessary. If bulb is okay, check circuits for faults between high-mounted stoplight, body No. 4 ECU and battery. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. If circuits are okay, go to next test listed in BODY NO. 2 CONTROL SYSTEM  table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
